Boot Struts

Hello all,

The gas struts on the upper tailgate on my P38 are starting to get weak and the tailgate is dropping. Does anyone know where to get good ones from. My brother had no end of trouble getting good new ones that worked for his Sierra.

They can get a bit soggy in cold weather but tighten up again when/if it gets warmer. Have you tried Island 4x4? Aftermarket ones a fiver each. Second handers could set you back twice that. Worth a try at that price.

If not them then any of the big shops that advertise in the magazines are a safe bet. I got a pair for about £23 i think from my local landy specialist.

Same here..paid about £12 3 years ago from Egay, no problems with them. Obviously change the pair !!

I got mine from P38 spares and they were only about £12, really really easy to fit as well.
