does anyone know if you can get a replacement rear floor for my 88 or is it just a case of getting a sheet of alloy and making it yourself? also can you get new dashboards for them or are they like hens teeth does a 90 dash fit?

Don't know about the 88, but the rear floor panel for the 109 is about 600 quid!! DIY might be the way to go....
Several threads recently about series dashboards...search...and ye shall be confused! :D

I recently got a quote for a sheet of ally 3mm thick and the correct dimensions for my 88" tub floor for about 60 quid. I hear it's not the easiest of jobs but will be a proper repair rather than just repairing individual holes in the floor.

I haven't done mine yet but this is the plan of action as far as I understand it:

Tub off
Drill out rivets holding on the 3 floor cross members
Drill out rivets holding the longways brackets running down the floor
Drill out rivets holding the floor to the wings
Remove floor, place new one in and rivet everything back together

3 floor crossmembers? mine have returned to the earth, ashes to ashes dust to dust:D that was going to be part of the repair, i got a similar quote so must be looking in a similar place im guessing the price of these are dictated by metal value

did a search but usual 300 threads mentioning dashboards once lol i will have a trawl through them i was hoping some bright spark would reply with a simple yes or no :D

Not an easy job. You may find, as I did, that the side rivets to the tub are actually not holding on to anything. The lip the floor rests on may have corroded away. In this case get an angle grinder and cut the whole lot out!
Fit new alloy angle channel support and put new floor back in.
I replaced mine with a S2 floor which a mate just happened to have lying about in his shed :). It might be worth putting an ad in for a donor scrappie.
The tub floor is not held in totally by rivets - the front strengthener down the front/back seat divider (where the spare wheel mounting is) has two nuts underneath it which have to be undone. It took me quite a while to find out why the floor would not come out after being attacked by the angle grinder.
Can also get to one or two other jobs a bit easier with the floor out.
Total cost for my floor was the three cross members (I think about £30) plus a bit of waxoyl and about 200 rivets :D:D

Ive got a drawing of the boot floor required + other stuff to get one made up with a bit of diy, as i did mine, gets around the corroded lip problem and keeps it authentic, pm me your email if you want it
