boost

I think my discovery 2 td5 is overboosting which way is it to adjust the gate valve so I can try to get the boost to activate later is it more threads visible or less thread thanks in advance

The overboost if it came from nowhere(i mean if it was OK before) can be caused by the wastegate modulator, take the pipe from it's bottom port and connect it directly to the wastegate actuator valve then drive it so...if it's ok this way you need a new modulator,: http://www.discovery2.co.uk/wastegate.html also check fuse F2 in engine bay to be ruled out... wastegate factory setting is 13 threads left out from the locknut but if everything is OK the management can take up to 10 threads left without overboost so better leave that alone, it's possible that the valve to have a leak though
