Probably a daft question, but just wanted to check on the basis that I've seen Boost alloys advertised on one site for 1994 defenders onwards, is there any reason i couldnt fit them on my 1992 model? Cheapest ive found them based on the 16" black gloss ones are £83 each, anyone bought any recently for cheaper, if so, who did you use? I'm not sure what other decent alloys are available at that sort of price, any suggestions welcome. Thanks for your help.

Any recommendations, I found a place in Birmingham but they are busy for 6 months, my local guy suggested the rot is likely to mean an MOT failure due to proximity to brake master cylinder. It's the labour cost that is the biggest cost, the bulkhead pimed and painted is £1300, labour £1700......

£90 to get a bulkhead dipped in dudley ;) my good mate has a landrover garage in leicster, he has a ashtree galved bulkhead in stock, and a chassis for that matter! Give me a p.m if you want his details!

Do a search!!

Drums on the back do not cause an issue alloys will fit the backs no problem usually. It is land rovers that came fitted with drums and the original front axle that has issues. The FRONT axle dispite having disks causes issues usually the driveflange protrudes enough to foul the inside of the wheel.

It is said defenders with drums on the back have problems with fitting alloys, its not actually the drum braked axle but the original factory front that causes issues
