P38A Book is up on the dash

The fans are ok, you think it might need a gas? only did it 2 years ago, and not had the A/c on, will it come on anyway even if your not using the a/c? thanks

When I 1st got mine it just needed a re gas, next time was a relay in the fuse box, next time it was burnt out joints in the fuse box the last time it was an intermittent connection to the passenger blow.

Take your pic are the blend motors doing what they should ?
Are the main fan motors kicking in ?
Have you check the relay ? Fuse box for burning smell ?

Yea ok will check the fuses 2morrow... and will run the fans see if they open and close when and where they sould

Relays usually go fuses do not check for burning smell

Mind the AC is always on unless you explicitly turn it off.

Yea I was thinking that, thats why I ask, if its on auto, it will keep adjusting the temp

Yes good old landrover design that light on means a/c off. get ****fick fitter to regas it press the a/c button so light is on they won't charge you cos it won't get cold

Reminds me I need to replace my condenser as mines fooked. Just need to work out what one I need :/

This is first car I have had with AC and it seems confusing. Whats wrong with opening the window when hot and closing when cold

I think its sorted, I just went out to drop my son off at the station, turned the a/c off, and the book didn't come up, so I guess its gas, needs topping up, thanks everyone for the help

I used it up? over 2 years I think since the last top up, and I dont ever turn it off

It's a closed system though, you can't 'use it up'. If it needs topping up, there's a leak somewhere.

so you use the gas, and it stays there? that dont make sense?

I think Kwikfit do a leak test when they top it up
