Bonnet spring upgrade?

The bonnet release spring was always a bit weak,but now I've fitted bonnet lights its now a 2 person job to open the bonnet.Is there anything I could do to give it more spring or are there any after market replacements? Anyone else had this problem after fitting a light pod on the bonnet?

Why not just fit bonnet pins and do away with the catch altogether cheep fix ebay under £20

Blinding idea.any idea what size i would need or would universal ones worth a shot?

Iirc you need the original catch for the MOT

"Check that the bonnet can be secured in the closed position". That's all the MOT manual states and nothing on the method of security..

Where did you get these idears?

I ment to write.no where does it say there for off road use only. Question is would it pass an mot with them fitted or now.
