Bonnet/Boot Catch question

Been directed here from one of your helpful Landrover chaps.

Hi you lot.
I was told you chaps/chapesses could be really helpful and may have the answer to my question.

I'm looking for a flush mounted boot/bonnet catch to fit the lid on a Teardrop Trailer.
I want to be able to push the lid down, and have it click and lock in place.
The lid will be released by a fob, which operates the actuator and releases the catch.
I came across this catch after much searching.



Does anyone have any images of the other part that locks in to this? Can it be operated by an actuator?
Does anyone know how long/wide and deep this unit is.

Looks like a version of a standard bonnet catch to me, if that's the case, you should be able to get something from a scrappies and maybe put a central locking solenoid on it as a release.

As IrishRover says above, go visit a LR scrapyard and you'll get the bits you need. Heres an extract from the workshop manual to give you an idea what the other side looks like. added bonus is that its bolt on not welded.
