Hi all,

After performing faultlessly through the winter, I decided to give the old girl a long-awaited treat. I've had the Bonnet and tailgate de-rusted and painted. She is now looking far smarter. I hadn't planned to put decals back on it - but it looks so good now - I have to...

I now need some "Range Rover" stickers for the bonnet and tailgate - and a "Vogue SE" sticker too. Does anyone know of a good (cheap) source of these?

Also - anyone know where I can get the O-Rings to convert the air con over to R134a?

Thanks,

Mike.

I just sucked all the oil out of my aircon and then put in the 134a.

I have been told by about 3 aircon people that is the old oil thats not compatible with the new gas, O rings never mentioned!:p

Ideally you should remove the compressor, turn it upside down so that the filler plug is facing down and rotate the shaft until all the old R10 oil drains out otherwise it will react with the new oil and refrigerant which cause damage to the compressor...I found this out the hard way a few years ago. Any decent aircon place should have the "O" rings as hose sizes tend to be fairly standard and nearly all systems have been using R134a for years.

Don't know your views on keeping the car original but different colours/styles of script were used, according to the model year. At least some can still be scourced from LR dealers, I paid £12 for a bonnet decal alone but then I wanted the genuine article. Rimmers do (or did?) a fair selection.
