Bolts for side steps?

Ok, i know im a tit, but i have a problem with sizes of nuts and bolts, but i need to buy some new bolts for a set of side steps ive just got, so does anyone know what size i need to bolt these on to my 300 TDi?

Also how many?

That's a funny one. You need a ruler and a pen, go and look then go to your local diy store. They don't need to be high tensile or anything.
 
Most sidesteps fit on the body mounting bolts and then the the inner brackets line up with floor body webs which will require drilling to line up with the step brackets. i think they take M14 bolts plus the necessary washers and nuts.
