Bolt missing from gearbox????

Afternoon,

Just under my Disco 2 td5 with Autobox and noticed what appears to be a hole for a bolt on my gearbox.....now I'm not sure if there is something supposed to be in there but I'm a little paranoid after my T/Box screwing up over missing bolts bolts etc by some shoddy work at a LR Specialist.

Can any of you shed any light? Pic below.

nothing to worry about ,there is a bung fot it but its for timing pin and not necessary to be fitted

Hi James, thanks for your reply....like i say I'm just a little paranoid after water getting into my t/box from missing bolts.....just noticed this too...should anything be here???

flywheel drain plug hole. left empty unless ya going wading

Thanks....ok i do intend doing some wading, can i buy bungs from somewhere to put in these holes? Do they come from the factory with bungs in?

nope ,bell housing isnt sealed on the auto box

Should it be sealed when wading?

it will be alright as it is presumably you wont be wading through really mudddy water that deep

But then D1 auto box is different and doesn't have any holes, and no plugs required on a D1 V8 auto.

basically the same gear box ,but bell housing is different ,theres no timing pin needed on a d1 v8
