Hi all
right i know bodylift does nothing for ground clearance but im a big kid and like the jacked up look :D
i have a disco 1 which im just about to fit a new +2 suspension lift kit,i also have 265-75-16 tyres but as i said earlier i want it higher so am seriously considering a +2 bodylift at same time.
ive read all about the spacers and tierods and brake lines etc but what i cant seem to find much info on is adverse effects the bodylift causes ?
i know im lifting COG so will be abit more top heavy but am i going to have to start replacing bushes and linkages on a regular basis due to the bodylift ?
any ideas/experience much appreciated :)

what are you trying to achieve ??
if you just want the look of a 2" lift just fit spacers under springs ........ wont need to extend brake pipes or alter nuffing ...........

It's already having a 2" suspension lift pver the weekend but he wants it a bit taller!
We have the +6" hoses 265 75 16 tyres with modular wheels to go on as well, so it's already gunna be a busy enough weekend

I do apologise stubradley, the duplicate post was a mistake.
I have used the search button and googles aswell, and i cant find many answers to my question, lots of info on what you need and whats involved but thats it.what Im trying to find out is what are the long term effects,ie.. Am I gonna start wearing stuff out quicker because of the body lift ? I know what's involved in doing the lift and what I need.
Cheers

A bodylift is actually better than a suspension lift. It allows you to fit big tyres and gain axle clearance, without raising the centre of gravity hardly at all. Also you keep a better geometry.

Give it a 4" body lift and fit 35s, you'll have a better on & off roader than a 4" suspension lifted car.

Cheers.

Nothing wrong with that pal. Tbh adding 2" of suspension travel is no bad thing, you need to travel to handle the rough terrain. But when it comes down to it it's tyre size that really matters, and so a body lift with massive tyres is actually a cheap way to make a great off roader! A body lift plus extra travel is even better, but lifting too much makes it drive ****.

Get what I'm saying?

Cheers :)
