BMW into a Series 1

Im looking at reviving my old series 1 that was pulled apart and stored about 2 years ago. Its already been coil converted and the original engine and box where put to use in another vehicle.

The body is minimal and there will be a full cage/space frame when put back together.

I have a 325 TDS that wont pass another MOT and the engine and gearbox are awesome. Has anyone fitted one of these with a remote T-Box in a series before

It will only be an occasional vehicle but I want it to be fun

so i take it you will be reregistering it as non tax exempt as it now does not meet the criteria ?

What a waste.

Unsure what to do at the mo.

1. One option is to take it to germany with me where I dont pay road tax anyway.

2. Coil a pair of series axles.

3. Refit the leafs as the mounts are still on the chassis.

4. Or do as most do, upgrade my rover and run it as I want. The diffence with me as I wont be trying to fool anyone and pass it off as Defender/Discovery with a tax free logbook.

All of the above are only if I put it on the road.

Will see how it all fits around easter when the BMW has to come of the road.

There won't be any series 1 left after u finished ... Buy a defender and wreck it. There still making them.

Seen it done a few years back a Disco 1 body put on a 71 Rangie chassis, shame they couldn't of rebuilt the Rangie.
