blown rad, 2 in a month???

why is my rangerover dse (bmw) engine blowing rads, two rads blown in a month both split from the top, they are both the plastic ones. temp rises then they blow doesn't split or blow any pipes or come out via the header tank. any ideas??

What year is it? I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like head gasket. Taking a guess it'll be a 1998-2000 model. The nylon locating dowels distort allowing the head to move slightly.
 
agree with Ratty.. too much pressure in the system from the cylinders venting into the water and the weakest part will go pop... odd that it's the rad but then someone's gotta keep LR's execs in bread...
