Hi Guys, i know this has been asked before.

i don't know its ever worked as the defender is relatively new to me and I've just got it road worthy for winter and last night turned the blowers on... well actually i moved the switch and nothing happened.

Im planning to check the fuse and put meter over the motor connections to test power and maybe see if its jammed or full of leaves.

So my question is how do i get to the motor/fan blower. Im presuming its in the box on the passenger side in the engine compartment where the pipes from the manifold/heat exchange go?

What do i need to unscrew and not unscrew.

Before you unbolt anything, check if there is any power going to the motor. there should be a small plug at the motor, check that you're getting power there. If not, and the fuse is OK, you can get at the switch via a few screws which hold the cover and dash in place.

If there is power and the motor's not turning, you can remove the whole heater box by removing the two bolts that go into the bulkhead near the top, and three (on mine anyway) that bolt through the top of the footwell.

Do you know which fuse it its, ? its not labelled on mine. old school glass fuses
