The relay (according to haynes for a 200tdi) is behind the driver footwell but which 1 is it?
There appear to be 3 or 4 yellow relays and 1 red one.
I have no heater motor fan in any position and have power at the fuse so following the circuit through its the relay next, then the switch, resistor pack (depending what speed setting the switch is at) and then the motor.
According to the previous owner it has had a new motor fitted recently but has never worked,

Had a play today and somewhere along the line i have lost the feed to the A8 fuse. This is the heater motor fuse, i have traced the wire from the back of the ignition switch (WHITE/ORANGE) but according to the schematics its goes from here to the fuse box, but on the back of the fuse box at the A8 position the wire colour is brown, where does the wire change colour and as cant find anythin on the drawings to show where it terminates?

I had problems with my blower motor after I fixed a problem with the dim dip unit on my Disco 1.

When I was looking for the dim dip device I had disturbed the under bonnet wiring looms. What I didn't know was one of these contained the fuseable links. In moving the harness I accidentally broke one of the links which just happened to supply the heater lower motors and air-con. When I undid the harnes I found that all the crimped connections for all four links were severely corroded. I have repaired the broken link and plan to arrange a permenant repair to all the links.
I would advise anyone with an older Discovery to check these for corrosion damage if any circuit unexpectidly fails.

I have just re-terminated all the fuseable links as they were corroded and 1 was fused, still no joy though with the heater but at least i now know the wiring is good upto and coming out of the switch so the so-called new blower motor is knackered.

Also having issues with dim/dip, where is the unit found?

Been having another play today and still struggling,
I have no power to the vacuum unit, where is the vacuum switch?
Also where are the connectins for the motor itself as i aim to run a direct feed to the fan to see if it runs or whether the new fan (?) is knackered. I have power to the switch and out of the switch so its either the fan or the vacuum switch (looking at the drawings anyway)
Any more ideas?

If you get completely stuck and the motor is goosed. I have just stripped the Complete Blower & aircon units of a disco1 200tdi, That I'm scrapping.

Check that the vacuume hose hasn't split where it joins the teepiece next to the brake servo.

Is this what operates the solenoid (well it looks like a solenoid on the passenger side of the motor)
Where is this solenoid fed from as i have no voltage at the green wire?
