Hello guys,
Right here is a good one for you all.
1997 p38 2.5dse.
I put a thread on earlier in the month regarding heating. from the several replies thanks for them i carried out the several tests which can be performed everything pointed to drivers side blend motor.
So ordered new set of motors. Today stripped out the dash (not too difficult by the way). Replaced old motors and i still have the exact same problem. cheque book sign still on. Operating the drivers side motor off the car this pointed out that the motor wasn't operating at all but the left side and the direction ones are fine.
Where do i go from here???????????

I have read on this forum they need to be reset! And put through there range if motions to calibrate?. Poss with a test book, however i read on the same thread that if you do loads of ignition turn on's, not the engine though, this can put the blends through their cycle.. As the ECU had to re learn again and it takes, upto 500 ingitions to do this...?... The thread was only a few weeks ago!... Will have a mooch if i get chance. P

My money would be on the HEVAC unit. V.Regular offender.

BTW if you haven't cleared the fault from the memory it will remain until the system does a self test.

type in google search top of this page.. Reset blend motors.... Then click on the link starting test book in kent.......etc.. It will take you to a link with a full explination re the blends , need resetting , and self calibrate at certain intervals . Ie 50, 100, 200 times etc..
