Good evening all

My usually very reliable (shock) P38 has succumbed to the dreaded blend motor issue. Passenger side only, easy access I believe.

We have a bit of a drive to tomorrow and I don't much fancy the Mrs getting frostbite. As a a quick temporary fix, can I force the flaps/lever into warm on the passenger side until we get the new blend motor?

Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly Saint.V8 did this exact thing at one point when owning his P38.

Heres the thread: Forcing passenger side blend motors to hot

In reality it's easier just to fix it while your there.

Well remembered that was nearly 2 years ago!!

Yes while your in there just fix it properly....i should have and didnt....silly mistake!

Thanks Jacckk and Saint V8. It was really just something i hoped i could do for a few days until i get a replacement blend motor. I agree with you both.

If you get a fault "Blend motor short circuit" can be as little as carbon dust build up in the motor commutator. Whip it out, take it apart, strip motor, clean rebuild and all is good.
