Bleeding Brakes

Right gonna have a go at bleeding Brakes on my rebuild. Brand new brakes and pipes all round, never had fluid in yet. Got a good idea how to do it but DO I need the Vac pump connected to the Servo first as it is just blanked off at the moment ??

no ,fill res and open all bleed nipples give it a few pumps and se if res level lowers,if it does itmeans masters filling and brakes can be bled as normal if not you may have to undo pipes on the master and use your finger as a one way valve to get master full

So shall I open all nipple's at once, as was going to do one at a time.
 
I'd open them all, and close one at a time as fluid appears. A pressure bleeder will help a lot in my experience. You will also go through a lot of fluid - 1litre isn't going to be enough!
 
its just to get started youd need to bleed each later as normal,it makes no difference which order you bleed brakes
Ok great thanks. Is it same as clutch that I have to close nipple with Pedal Down when all air is out ? Got a bit of wood to jam in place while I run round for each corner:)
 
. Had a quick look tonight and its not going to be as easy as I thought, Unless Im missing something which I probably am :oops:.
How the hell do you get a spanner on these, It looks like you can on pic, but tried and although you can Just get the open end in its Very awkward to turn, the Ratchet end wont fit in between the 2 big nuts. Is there a special spanner or easier way to get at these ??. Don't want to round them off like I usually do.

standard ring or combination spanner
 
I gravity bleed mine, just open the nipple and wait until constant stream of fluid comes out. People say closest to master first, Im not convinced on a simple system its entirely necessary.

Ive heard that too about closest to Master too, Then others say passenger front first then driver under master second, passenger back third then drivers back last,

It depends on the pipe layout, my guess is shortest run first.

I was always taught to bleed shortest to longest. If you look at the Trailer Fitters Toolbox video on YouTube, it shows the order as longest to shortest. I don’t think it makes much difference.

makes no difference ,but its wise to do one of each on a dual circuit system first
