Hi all, was in the process of bleeding my brakes (S3 109), when I noticed that one of the bleed nipples (rear left) has broken off. The screw is still there but rounded off.
Any advise on how best to remove it and replace. Thanks

Buy a set of 'easy outs' from a engineers merchant, plus gas is also very good, heat is also good, but you'd need oxy acetylene and a nroow torch to avoid heating up the whole lot and melting the seals.

unless the cylinder is new stop being a cheap sod and just change it
its not worth the greef trying to get it out
if you heat it up you may damage the seals
if you drill it and try to extract it you may damage the seat
if it wont come out with molegrips just change it

I concur - take the cylinder out and try to remove the bleed nipple with a small stilson wrench, then try to find a replacement nipple. Or just replace the cylinder.

its never worth risking it with your brakes
if something brakes it needs replacing especally at that price

Dont even bother trying to get the remains out, i had that happen on 3 of my drums.
Most of the ****part stuff is almost as good as genuine, and at £6 vs £20.. or am i just a pikey :D

I bought some of the pattern ones, they were total ****, held them up and the pistons fell out. I buy the Lockheed ones normally, bit cheaper than Lucas but still good.
