Hi again.

I have bought a small Thermometer and was looking for somewhere on the Dash to fit it.

I have a 2002 TD4 GS.

On my dash above my fog light switch there is a blank switch and I am thinking of fitting the thermometer into there.

When I have prized the switch off instead of finding a hole there is a connector with wiring attached to the blank switch.

Does anyone know what should be there? and why there is wiring for no reason?

thanks

Agreed.
However this was also covered not so long back so maybe someone needs to do a :search: before posting next time .

Ah come on.
There is loads of good stuff on this site, but there is also loads of crap to wade through.
Pages very quickly get swamped and make it almost impossible to track down the quality info.

Normally I'd agree , it can be hard to find answers buried deep inside threads. But this very question was only asked about on 02 November in this thread -
"Dashboard blank, what should be there?"
So it's a fairly recent posting and not at all buried within another thread, as it states what it is about in the title. And it showed pics from the very first post.
I'd have thought it would be easy to spot if a search had been done.

I won't ask for any advice in the future, to save the Jobsworths having a go!

Awwww don't be put off. There are some folk on here with a short fuse. Perhaps they'd like to remember when they were all new to this forum once?! I can't help but notice that there are too many folk that like to insult people rather than help people. Come on, this forum is all for HELPING folks, not for taking the p*ss out them. Rant over.. sorry :(

Some people need to lighten up .
All I was doing was pointing out that there is a search facility that hasn't been used.I thought that was reasonable enough. I wasn't "having a go", it wasn't done to insult or take the ****, and I'm certainly not someone with the short fuse. Or am I ? I forget.

Some people also need to lighten up too.

There are some beauties on ere , mainly tratter and disco types , just ignore there negative vibes , back to the thread , I found the wire plugs also behind the blanks , that could moved back out of the way , so you could fix your own switch etc in its place :)

Thank you for all the replies chaps!

I have used the search facility a few times before and found it very useful.

However I didn't this time.

No hard feelings eh?:D

Everyone's allowed one offence.... then it's :violent:

BTW, searching is best done in Google, then maybe search results within LZ and other Landy forums. Works better that way I find.
