Anyone tried to access the BBS site lately?
When I try, it comes up "Site Unavailable"

Hope they have not gone bust after the EU stole all their cash.

Still no access from here in France. Strange, just a message "site cannot be reached, may be down or moved to another address"
You could either change your DNS settings to another provider temporarily to see if its your ISP? Or, do a command-line tracert to the address and see what's happening.
Try a Command line
  1. Click Start.
  2. Enter cmd in the Start menu search text box.
  3. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
  4. Run the following command: ipconfig /flushdns. If the command succeeds, the system returns the following message: ?
Google Public DNS for Windows.jpg

SSL causing dropped connection. Nothing to do but update browser and OS.
I cant access on XP and Chrome

Im beginning to think that the forum is useless on the bbs site and one of the answers from the forum was if you have to ask you will never understand and one to my question was you will have to get a tuner to do it for you

That's down to the hardware not he software. Maybe needs a clean up try Ccleaner.
The only way to speed it up is a complete re-install when it runs fast for a few months. Still the fastest Windows computer in my collection is Win 95. It's all designed to slow down over time, so, as the adverts say, "slow computer? time to buy a new one"

OK, so it's an XP problem. I will not be updating anytime soon to Win 10 spyware, so looks like I will have to get an Android system running. Access is OK on my tablet.

If you download Oracle VirtualBox then you can setup a virtual machine and run Linux OpenSUSE or Linux Tails in it and then use that.

Windows 10 does indeed try to log everything you do. There are things you can do to mitigate most of it though.

Android is insidious itself. The Borg (Google) watch everything although using Orbot and OrFox combined with the DuckDuckGo search engine helps.
