Been towing my mates van today too the scrapyard he said during the towing process excessive black smoke emission, I was thinking maybe I'll use a diesel flush Has Anybody had experience these products are they any good? I know it was working hard as the van has been standing for years and wieghed 2tonne or should I bother.

Full service and decent diesel first. Then a decent booting up a fast road.
Just serviced, the air filter is the oil bath type, just washed through and changed the oil in it, I haven't change the fuel filter yet, I have noticed that the heater isn't blowing so hot and the temperature gauge is only just showing warm, could it be this cold weather and the engine being over cooled?
