So...

tried to buy some black checker plate for the car and it was the wrong size so had to sell it on eBay for a reduced price as sending it back to Paddocks was not cost effective!

I am now going to look to get the stuff I already have on the car shot blasted and powder coated. Does anyone know of a place in London/South East that they can recommend?

Have tried taking the kit off myself and it's a pain in the arse so if anyone knows of somewhere that would do the whole show for a reasonable price then please let me know.

Cheers,

You don't want it shot blasting, you want it chemical dipping before they powder coat it , shot will leave it rough, chemical just takes the paint off

I had mine done silver ,it was really rough but came out like new, 400 miles from London though so no use to you

Cheers. I'm meeting the guy tomorrow (had a conversation with him and turns out he is a Landy nut and has a 101)! He's going to help get the checker kit off as it's been on the last 14 years! Will mention to him chemical dipping and get his opinion...
