althoug I belive the inside plastic is diferent, but no harm to try on a "hidden" part

Aren't those bumpers the grey version?

I've used boiled linseed on my exterior plastic, works a treat once it dries

Yes they are the grey version, I've thought about the linseed oil but since the weather gets very hot down here I didn't want to have to do it every couple of years.

With this post, and my own dogs in mind, I had a go at mine today. Cockpit Shine did the trick nicely.

Turtle Wax Cockpit Shine New Car, 5010322760419

Cheers i'll give that a try.

I have a 11 stone Akita, when he jumps in the back muddy it always splashes up the sides. When i try and clean them they still look dirty and faded.
Have a boot liner from a 3 door, but it only has 6 inch sides

Hi i dont know if this will help you but as I tried black boot/shoe polish as the plastic fades and turns grey. I have used the sponge boot polish on the bumpers wheel arches and exterior plastics etc and they come up a treat wipe on allow to dry a little but not completly and rub off any excess its cheap and looks good.

Works for me too:)

knew a guy with an akita once, he never had any trouble with it for 4 years til one day it went for him and clamped it's jaws in to his skull dragging him round his garden.

it was put to sleep

I bought the freelander for the dog, the back is his
:)

was half wondering what do do with mine .. i've no dog .. but ..
a friend has asked me about getting involved with canine-rescue

reading this thread .. muddy paws and the like .. got me thinking ..
i've a 'commercial' hippo .. thought maybe a tent-like liner in the back might work
something that could be attached to the floor - sides - maybe roof ..
and that could be taken out and washed when needed ..
