Bit of help please on my 110

Hi guys need some help was at my mates just and went to pull of and it was like transfer box was in N . But no it's in H non lock and won't pull off same in L . Onley drives if in diff lock . Is my gear box shot or rear /front axel . P.s lt77 gearbox 1988 Salisbury rear drum axle

its looks like you have lost drive in either front or rear axle ,could be a half shaft ,cv or drive member etc see which prop spins when not in diff lock

Just dun that mate and front prop spins rear don't ?

I bet your driving member has gone. Take it out of diff and then take the rubber covers off the middle of the front wheels. You may see the shaft spinning in the middle of the wheel. The one where it is spinnigng is the one where you need a new driving member. About £6-7 and an easy job

Yep, sounds like drive member...teeth worn...but I'm no expert

front half shaft or drive member? jack a wheel up and try turning it with difflock engaged. if it turns it's fooked.

both members are fine with no teeth ground down....

front drivers side half shaft spins with the 5 bolts out .. carnt get half shaft out its stuck same with passinger side... ???

somewhere between prop bolting to diff and the splines poking out of each wheel hub is a break , cv, diff ,shaft ,you just need to try and feel which

Something is broken - I had similar, turned out to be a knackered CV.

i might just put a discovery axle on ....... would a disco 1 200 tdi do the job'what modds need doing .also what spline ect axle would i need to buy

I thought Disco axles can go on a 90 but not on 110 due to the weight issue?

Only relates to the rear. Front axle is standard Rover affair on both vehicles

Have you checked that the hi / low lever hasn't been knocked and is slightly inbetween positions causing it to not drive i had this with my disco 1 300tdi auto a while back before i sold it just a thought
