Got the bumper out from behind the shed and gave it a clean

Coat of primer

Strapped the battery down

New horn and bonnet cable fitted

Cleaned and painted all the dash bits and got them fitted

We got all the back lights fitted and tested , a few wiring issues but ok now

Found that the wiper switch is buggered and there's no fluid in the power steering, apart from that we're going for the mot next Saturday:D
 
Finished waxoyling the chassis, and got it every where

Found out that you need an interior light to pass the mot( I did not know this)

Oh well, something to do tomorrow night
 
Good thread, and alot of work put into this by the looks of it. Must be pretty happy with it now?

This is also makes me want to get a defender after only just buying a disco 2......
 
Since when? My MOT was about 6 months ago - I have no interior light, but I do have a military map reading light.

I think the item is :

* Door open warning lights (where fitted) to fail if not working

Which mine passed fine on, even though its got the sensors in the door plus a cable (which is spun round the rear view mirror at the moment :) )

I think personally that is a stupid rule, surely air gushing in through the door is warning enough you've left the door open.....

I have air gushing in with doors open or closed:(
