Picked up reversing light, fog light and new bonnet cable today after I snapped the old one and it made me bleed

Got the bumper out from behind the shed and gave it a clean



Coat of primer


Strapped the battery down



New horn and bonnet cable fitted



Cleaned and painted all the dash bits and got them fitted



We got all the back lights fitted and tested , a few wiring issues but ok now



Nice shiny bumper and grille fitted



Found that the wiper switch is buggered and there's no fluid in the power steering, apart from that we're going for the mot next Saturday

Looks great Billy, the silver interior finishes it all off. A1 workmanship over the whole project.

Cheers situ tab, I'm really pleased with the silver, specially as I only used it cause it was a quid a can

Good effort - I'm sure that there will be plenty of modifications to come.

Finished waxoyling the chassis, and got it every where



Fitted new wiper switch and cleaned up the casing



Found out that you need an interior light to pass the mot( I did not know this)

Oh well, something to do tomorrow night

Since when? My MOT was about 6 months ago - I have no interior light, but I do have a military map reading light.

Tis true, I have it on good authority

yep me to but the MOT man told me that counts, even though i cant reach it from the drivers side lol

Good thread, and alot of work put into this by the looks of it. Must be pretty happy with it now?

This is also makes me want to get a defender after only just buying a disco 2......

I think the item is :

* Door open warning lights (where fitted) to fail if not working

Which mine passed fine on, even though its got the sensors in the door plus a cable (which is spun round the rear view mirror at the moment )

I think personally that is a stupid rule, surely air gushing in through the door is warning enough you've left the door open.....

Got the cans from the local discount superstore, I get the right hump when they haven't got any cause its £2 a can at the other place
