I have just picked up a set of alloys fitted with a set of 285 x 75R x 16 BF Goodrich Mud tyres.

They are far bigger than I expected them to be, guess I should have done my homework first. I just saw Disco 1 wheels with MT tyres and thought yes they will do me.

Looks like I have a fair bit of modding to do or resell the buggers, and yes I know we have the sticky here telling us what fits as I have just read it.

You will only need a camel cut to get the fitted on!!!!!

If thats all thats needed then I will be happy but they sure fill the arch, I know in this pic its just placed in front but it sure looks tight.

As long as it misses my sliders I dont mind doing a camel cut and I may loose the valence on the front bumper if required.

Looks like they could be very tight to the sliders.

Would be interested to see how this turns out, particularly if you get away without a suspension lift.

Just remember the stresses you're putting on drive train too... 1.41:1 box would suit them alot more. You'll find it much easier to snap a half shaft or chocolate diff with them on

I had to cut some of my front wings out just so I could move mine round the back to fit the flat dog arches. What I should have done was fit the tyres round the back lol

Had a set on my disco, had to do a camel cut and adjust the steering stops but apart from that fit straight on with the 2 inch lift on

Any update yet Horse62, are they on?

Is so, pics please. Interested to see how they fit with the 2 inch lift. Have been thinking of 235/85 or 265/75 for mine, but if the 285s fit nicely then I figure why the hell not.

Cheers

Chris

All I have done is pressure wash them off and cleaned them up ready to do a trial fit but not had time to do so yet.

If I get off work early tomorrow I may get chance then and I will post a few pics
