The story goes this end. I bought a Defender 300 TDI in December 2010 from e-bay. It looked good in the photos (photos lie) had some mot till July 2011.
The reason for buying was simple my van would not go in the snow and i was stuck in the house for two weeks and getting fedup with not working. Before this moment in time i did not know nowt about defenders it has been a sharp learning curve.

I know they are as rough as a Bagers 4$$ and dont have much in the way of heating etc but i would like to sort this all out over the next couple of years. I think the first step will be to remove the body so i can get a good look at the chassis.:)

P.S the name is Ally

:welcome2: Ally, I think Defenders are built the same as Series Landies. I am fixing a Series 2a up, starting from the chassis (done a couple before). This time I am putting a cab front on it with a roll cage. This, I am hoping, will help with lack of heat. Might not be the best if you are carrying tools in the back but you can buy secure tool chests and bolt them in. You should be able to check the chassis by poking around and if it, and the bulkhead, look okay then a spray of Waxoil should keep it sweet. Hope this helps, James.
