My partner was having work done on her P38 including new calpers and brake pipes,so we ordered all on line,no problem with the calipers but when the brake pipes from foundry4x4 arrived the blister pack had been opened and 4 pipes were in the pack,my partner was not aware that there should be 6 and notified foundry4x4 that the garage could not fit the pipes as they were too short, she then notified the problem to foundry4x4 who requested the VIN no which was supplied and nothing further heard from foundry4x4.
She then started a return via ebay and foundry4x4 have deducted an amount
for the pipes they never sent
As we have witnesses to what was delivered we are taking this up with other than ebay.
So photo any deliveries to prove if you are being conned.

Same thing happened to me. I ordered 4 cans of brake cleaner and when they arrived (via what used to be Hermes) the packaging was open at two points. There was only 3 cans.
I took photos and it's been sorted, but these thieving barstewards seem to get away with pilfering peoples property.

In reference to the "wonderful" rebranded Evri, I too have found them the most untrustworthy courier company in existence. I purchase a fair amount via Ebay and generally have no issues, but Evri deliveries are the exception. I buy old broken laptops amongst our general tat to amuse myself trying to get them operational when in the rare occasion our wonderful Scottish climate halts my vehicle maintenance outside, in the last 2 months had 3 of these laptops go "missing" with Evri and 1 "damaged in transit, it arrived in a plastic bag in pieces!!!! Would love to have seen the thieving C$£%S face thinking he had scored big time with a laptop to open it then plug it in finding a broken early 2000's relic hahaha. Now if a seller actually states they use Evri/Hermes will not purchase no matter how much I want/need the item as it isn't worth the hassle. Spoke to ebay their answer " sellers responsibilty "

I stopped using Evri, after items I sent, went missing or arrived damaged. Now I use RM all the time now.
That's the good thing about eBay, as a buyer, you are pretty well protected.
I wonder if the thieving cnuts thought my brake cleaner was that Nitro's gas that the brain dead use.

Interesting you said that as I had an EVRI item vanish too and had to open an investigation 6 weeks of looking they reported it lost.... then the next day item turned up.... the seller said he repeatedly has this with EVRI.

I have 3 mercs and 2 Range Rovers and an eclectic range of collections generously termed as "tat" by my wife so have a fair number of parcels delivered each month, I have no problems with deliveries in any way from any other service but EVRI they are a shambles, I was using Autodoc in Germany for my mercedes parts as they were very competetive on price for oe parts and never had an issue but they have now changed to EVRI, first delivery by them was a £460 order which of course went "missing" the replacement order also went "missing" 3 months later still fighting to get resolution for a refund and now will never use Autodoc again, apparently I have to wait for both of the investigations to complete and can get no updates fromm EVRI or Autodoc on current situation, contacted Bank also useless, lesson learnt will always be using credit card in high value orders in future. How a company can get away with this is completely unfathomable to me, not sure about rest of UK but they are so bad here there is a dedicated Facebook group set up just for EVRI and the problems with deliveries and its busy, very busy, some of the posts read like a comedy sketch.

I ordered an oil filter on ebay, Hermes sent a picture of it outside a gate. Not my nor any neighbours gate.
Another time, I was home and waiting for an expensive part that I really needed for our kitchen.
We have sensors on our drive to let us know if someone is there,
they never went off. When I called, they said he had rung the bell, but no one answered, the photo was from his van, at the end of the drive. Lying cnuts

On a similar vein, I ordered a limited edition commemorative watch, another of my mad collections and not inexpensive, no doubt to everyone's surprise this was never received though I got a delivered message. Contacted the supplier and they sent the supposed proff of delivery photo and it was a box and I kid you not outside a appartment doorway, clearly in a block of apartments and the best bit the box appeared to be around 3 feet by 2 feet. Now I did query the fact how much fkn packing do they use and also the fact my postcode is in the middle of the countryside also sending a photo back of our house and a googlemaps image. Still it took over 2 months to sort out. It is sort of reassuring that so many other areas of the country have the same issues with these cnuts but how does this never get resolved, I have tried speaking to our courier but her reply is nothing to do with me I am self employed and just deliver what I am given!!!!! I did point out that if a parcel is shown as scanned to the courier then she must have received it so where does it then go missing and why so regularly to which I got a mouthful of abuse and she drove off. The next several parcels surprisingly were all late and damaged. If I am now buying anything over £50 I caontact and specifically check the courier company but what sort of friggin world are we in when we have to do this and ebay and the likes think its acceptable. Rant over hope no evri turns up today just in the mood now hahahaha

JUST TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE,WE ORDERED A DIESEL HEATER ON EBAY and yes you got it,delivered by Evri left outside at wrong address in the rain, now I know why they changed their name to,Because Evri delivery is a cock up.

Weirdly we have zero issues with Evri, same old guy has done the deliveries for a while now in his car.

Well to be fair to the couriers/drivers out there that are concientious, honest and trustworthy and they are the majority oin my experience even Evri has to be able to deliver some of the parcels in a decent manner, I think a lot of it depends on the actual hub the parcels final destination lands at, mine is Dudee and it is truly terrible in every respect, then the person responsible for actually delivering it, at present I have 6 different drivers from evri, one is very good the rest !!! well its all been said hasn't it.

Was expecting a package earlier this week, just a small item, via neveri. Got a email from neveri asking me to rate the courier and enclosed a photo taken of the package stuffed in my letter box. But not my letter box. Compared the photo details to nearby properties on goggle street view and found it was delivered to my next door neighbour. This might have been a genuine mistake by the courier, but less than 24 hours later I got a scam email from a bogus courier company asking for personal details so they could deliver a package which was being held. Connected? possibly ----.

eBay is probably the worst place to buy Land Rover parts anyway. Most of the prices are hiked up to account for the eBay fees, the only good thing is the convenience and the fact that right or wrong eBay will always side with you (the customer) if there's a problem.

RE: EVRI - we have had the same guy for years either Hermes or EVRI and never had an issue with him. It is really down to who is physically delivering the packages in your area.

RE opened packages. It is not uncommon for parts companies to send out already-returned parts in hope that it either won't be noticed or that people can't be bothered to go through the returns process.

In the case of the brake pipes above if the part comes as a kit of 6 and you only received 4 then you have not received the part and I would not accept a partial refund, insist they collect their damaged parcel and send out the correct item. It may not be very cheap to get the two extra ones you need so you end up out of pocket due to their mistake (or attempt at fobbing off returned parts).

Edit: I've just realised how old this thread is 🤣🤣🤣

I've just had to do a claim via the Visa guarantee for non delivery of a service kit for the wife's Audi A5. EBay are now basically useless, and seem to side with the seller, providing they give EBay a tracking number. It took me 4 weeks and 3 different tracking numbers to not have the parts I ordered, and EBay refused to refund me, so I contacted the card issuer and requested the money back via the visa system, which was returned to me in under 5 days.
I've no problems claiming this money back, even if the seller has sent the parts out, as a refund from the seller should be automatic, regardless of the circumstances.
It's always worth using a credit card for on line purchases, as the card issuer will make sure the money is returned.

Is this news or post worthy? Just raise it as a dispute and you'll get your money back. Probably also worth leaving a negative review too.

I'd say that isn't true at all. Often they are cheaper via ebay than buying direct. You need to check. Places like Paddocks are often cheap, but unless you spend enough to get the free shipping, you can usually buy on ebay for less total outlay.

As for buyer protection, if you use PayPal you will get the same cover from almost anywhere you shop.
