Hi all,

Tried a search but couldn't find anything specific.

The cable for my work light comes out of the rear washer jet hole via gland, in to the gutter and along to the light. What's the best non-destructive way of keeping it in there whilst not completely blocking the channel?

Assuming the cable is water and UV resistant, you could just dab a bit of gorilla glue or similar every few inches. A neater job would be a new hole and proper grommet just behind the worklight. I appreciate you may not want to drill another hole.

Hmmm, a good question. I've ripped it off another car and the cable was exposed to the elements on that so will assume it's ok (no obvious visible signs of damage or fatigue).

A new hole would be the perfect route (badaboom-tish)...but really didn't want to add anymore watering holes. I don't suppose one more hole would make a huge amount of difference! Although saying that, I could also then move the lamp off the gutter mount and fix that with a further 2 holes.

When drilling through the panel, is there anything I should be doing to stop rust or damage? As in, paint/protect it with something?
