Hi all, I've just purchased a full brownchurch roof rack
(eBay £300 bargain!!) and I want to mount some spot/driving lights on it. I've read all sorts of things about what sort of lights to go for such as fogs/floods on the outside to give wide angle illumination and spots in the middle to increase distance.

I've already got a pair of 8" wipacs on a bumper bar wired onto the full beam and I'm thinking about doing the same with the roof lights but also being wired up to an additional cut off switch to turn them off completely (probably using a standard front fog switch).

Any advice or opinions based on experience welcome as I'm very keen to order some lights and fit them ASAP, before a greenlaning trip at the weekend ;-)

Thanks guys

i aint done one for a few years, but fog lights used to have a shield over the top of the bulb to give the flat beam.... taking the shield out gives a taller ,but still wide light beam.... we used to use them as work lights on tractors.

Yeah, hello to you too

Ok... It would appear that somehow I'm offending people, I'm unsure as to why but I apologise either way. All I really want is some opinions and maybe some constructive advice from anyone who has put thought into the sort of light they install on their roof rack. Thanks and again sorry to those who I've offended.
