Can't beat the 'hammer' test !! :)

with my welding repairs , I prime, seal, and give a 2nd coat of primer. perhaps a bit of overkill, but gives peace of mind that it'll keep the tin worms at bay for a long time.

wish this weather would clear up cant wait to get these baby on!!

you'll feel much better when you've fitted the inner-wings, also find more room in the house (well I did o_O )
sorta just finished a pair from froggatts on mine - spread over 9 months
I had to trim the inner-arch where it meets the bulkhead / lip of bulkhead side (to clear the vertical lip) & I had to trim the strengthening 'boxes' that run under the wing where they meet the door hinge pillar maybe 1/8"-1/4"
I used a tin of brushable seam-sealer on two inner-wings & the 'A' pillar & bulkhead repairs
otherwise they fit well & look good

gotta do sills now

Rich.

Quick update.

New floor panel in. Mount and sills fertaned first as suggested!
Weldings strong but not the best looking!!
Onto the bulkhead body mount tommorow!

You need something to keep the pigeons away. Looks like they have sh!t on your floor.

just a few little jobs to do now headlight washer pump to repair, bumper to bolt back on, spray end caps, spotlights bulbar etc. then its mot time!!
on holiday next week so having a rest!!

I've just bought the bolt on version for mine both sides as well.

I'm thinking of getting the galvanised though rather than painted.

Discovery front inner wing complete and fully welded, can be bolted or welded
into place.
………………………………………………………………………….....£2240.83 +VAT

do you think that must be a typo?

If I remember rightly they were £249 per side.
They fit really easily I've welded mine in but could easily have bolted them.
Look for easy on in ebay then look at sellers other items there are a lot of options.

well she's all finished!! took a while but all in all not a bad job. passed her mot with flying colours just got to put the bulbar and spots back on, fancy a light bar as the next little mod!!
happy days!!:D:D:D:D
