Right so I've checked through all the threads on disco 200tdi into defender. So it's all done apart from we've used the original disco flywheel cover. So now the 4 sandwich bolts across the bottom don't line up. Now should I drill new holes in the bell housing or swap the flywheel covers. Reason I
asking as my dad is hard to argue with and thinks the 4 bolts are there for a reason. Any help? Oh and it's a lt77 box

a disco box will not fit defender you need to change input shaft and bell house or get a defender box to fit.

i have a spare here for sale 300 quids plus post or collect.
he's puttin a disco engine on a 90 box, cock

either drill and tap as necessary or use the flywheel cover off original engine

Thankyou gratch!! Read the post guys. I'm using the lt77 gearbox with a 200tdi engine. I already drilled the small holes for the dowls but missed the bolts across the bottom. Hohum take the bell housing off again tomorrow a d drill some more. Cheers

disco 200 and 90 box.nice that will do about 20mph.

Fook off ya fick cuunt. I dun't mind peeps taking the **** if they're doing it to annoy someone specifically or just for a general laff. But when every post is inane drivel and aimed at noone or everyone, it just gets boring.

Have a laff and a windup by all means. But for ****sake try and keep it intelligent.

I just tapped the blind holes in the disco lump and stuck a couple of bolts in them. I ran my conversion without the bolts for over a year on and off road with no problems.

scooz me - where does he say a defender box - sure he says LT77, but it could be either a defender or disco box! - or have i missed summat?

as highlighted, plus why would he need todrill disco bellhousing to disco engine?;)

k - so its deffo a defender box, but back to my first point - int the disco bellhousing longer/deeper, coz i thought the disco box had a longer input shaft??

so - to answer his Q - dont use the disco bellhousing - use the defender bellhousing, but tap the blank holes in the injun, so yu can bolt it up proper.
