Hi all.
New to all this so forgive me if I make an arse of it!
I’ve recently joined the landy owners club with a 2002 re-mappped 110 td5 special vehicle with 160,000 on the clock and obviously fell straight into the world of endless repairs.
So far... new turbo and head gasket.
Now I reckn the rear left bearings gone which is easy enough but I have a couple of other queries I’m hoping you could help me with.

Slight crunch changing from 1-2nd..... wrong or old oil? Best oil for a gearbox and transfer box??

You all know the landy sound but I have another two on top of this I can’t figure out....

A kind of tinny rattle almost in sinc with with engine turnover but only while driving... and sort of “bop bop bop bop”... coming from snorkel but not all the time... it comes and goes.
It stopped after turbo change but is back again.

As well as day to day use, I’m bursting to get off roading but hesitant while all this is going on incase I break it completely!

Any questions or ideas??

Cheers folks.

Welcome to the madhouse
Is this your first Fender?
If you can waggle the stick thingy and it drops into a gear, that's a good start.
My book of worms says that your gear/injun loobs should be MTF94.
Rattles are there to pacify the driver, and if she hasn't got a rattle to play with she is parked up somewhere, or it could be the clutch release bearing wanting to play.
If the musical “bop bop bop bop” starts 'Be-bop-a-lula-ing' get it on uTube, or failing that, have you got an air flap just beneath the inlet?
Whatever you do, don't go off road on your own!!

crunch is worn baulk rings mtf94 might help ease the symptoms, id look at exhaust manifold gasket manifolds warp and often snap studs
