Been busy again

Hi all,
Just thought I'd post up a few pics of my latest upgrades/diy's for you..

I'd never really been happy with the green air vents on my Td4 & decided to change them over to black ones. I also got a black speedo binacle to complete the look .. A couple of other wee changes in the pipeline too..

Firstly the old look from an old pic..




now the new look taken today...

No. it's a tesco micro cloth, at least thats what i'll tell the misses when she see's that pic, full marks on the comment..

Looks better with the black vents

Sourced a black heater control unit & fitted this also, i always thought it odd, that they'd put a black radio then a grey heater control unit then black switches & ashtray etc.. I much prefer the "all black" look now..

How the finished work looks..


This was done very easily,
anyone know off hand how the radio comes out as i'd like to replace it at a later date also, tried an allen key in the slot & a wiggle to the side etc but could'nt get it to budge, did'nt want to force it & break the plastic housing so i left it for now..

hi,

easy to do. you just pull off the 3 control dials & under the 2 end ones theres a small screw, once their out the facia panel just lifts off, an easy swap over if it's just the facia panel your doing..

Because you can only usually buy the complete heater assembly i opted to change out the whole unit not just the facia as my heater panel does'nt light up at night..

the unit cost me £30, not cheap, but worth it for me..
