As previously stated on here I've had no end of probs with my P38 with the electrikery/alarm/locking. After much hassle to-and-fro garage, they finally concurred the BECM at fault.
Still under 3 month warranty, they located a source in Essex (mid December) who still has not even removed it from a scrapped vehicle!
I had discussed already with Irish, but as garage located their own source (at their cost after-all) John left the unit back home in Ireland, before "coming home" for christmas.
Essex guy a big let down, spoke to Irish, he found one in Oxford, grabbed it, checked it, fooooked!!!!
Two days later, finds/grabs/checks another.........spot-on!
Irish came down today, armed with a pre-checked BECM, leads, cables, laptop, more leads, spanners, tools ......it goes on :blabla:
Just over three hours later, replacement BECM coded, tested, working as it should on the Range
To John, :beer2::beer2::beer2: my sincere thanks for all your efforts above and beyond the norm, not to mention hard work in the cold!
raise:
The "rest of us" on here - if you need anything BECM, I got a direct line to the God of Range Lektrikery!!
