Need to know what flywheel he has used.

The CPS may be an Hall effect type that switches a open collector/Grounded emitter Trans which simply applies an GND input to the ECM.Might not see anything on a DVM but will on a scope.

A Hall effect needs a supply voltage so is usually a 3 wire device, if 2 wire it modulates the supply voltage line.

Yep thats what I said

Anyway I think we are barking up the wrong tree as it isnt a Hall effect sensor,but an inductive one where the reluctor ring teeth excite the magnetic flux around the tip of the sensor producing an voltage output from the sensor which varies in frequency and amplitude with engine speed.

Thank you for all of your assistance problem now solved every thing is working as it should now im sure this was the right engine to use it could probably tow the factory it was built in :crazy_driver::crazy_driver:

So what was the problem, how was it overcome, what are the results and what would you do differently....
