If you look in there listings it does show you standard and a heavy duty if you want to waste it on the Hd its up too you any quibble take it back but you won't need too unlike a mail order one can you imagine the cost of posting one with the Wieght and unlikely Royal Mail will post a battery with acid in :)

well i went with it £77 with the trade card, explained the situation and the thoughts here and the chap was cool , he said if i want just take it back tomorrow, i think id rather have a local/national 3 year take it back guarntee, and just swap it after 2 years for the sake of it  battery for life really :D

have to wait 30 mins for the keycode lockout then i can try

 you won't be disappointed if your one was that bad then you will notice the difference when you spin her over.

The bigger one as pointed out have that bit more power but the ease of change far outways the benefits , as you will see if you have a good condition battery then it will start with ease

Not for life for the 3 year period from the original purchases date , so you should at least get one free;)

:D the joy !! new battery, new fob batteries, put the eka in and she was good to go and seems sorted now, thank god

they can be a nightmare, but what joy it seems to bring when you get things sorted with p38`s !!!

I wonder why LR waste their money fitting a 107AH battery to the diesel, they should have asked for your advice and saved money by fitting a much lower power battery:rolleyes:

Data is a battery not rocket science if your car and battery are in good order , they should be if not sort it it won't fail to start. Any way tell me how you will post a 1000 battery through the postal system cheap and easy for a replacement if it goes wrong , you have to declair a hazard in transit by law.

Never heard of UPS or DHL?
Boeing have found out that batteries need to be taken seriously with the Dreamliner. It's still grounded due to battery problems, it's turning into a nightmareliner. Yes I know they are LiIon and not lead calcium, but batteries are far from simple.
A higher capacity battery shows less volt drop on starting, especially in cold weather and as the P38 electronics are very sensitive to voltage that has to be a good thing.

I wonder why the battery is listed in Halfords battery range .
Now let me think what draws the most on the entire car the starter motor and can it spin that with ease yes!!!!!

a modern geared starter motor will spin even if the battery voltage drops below 12 volts on load, the ECU's however may or may not cooperate. Halfrauds are notorious for having the wrong batteries listed. Many on here have also reported early failures over the last 2 years.
You go your way, I'll go mine.

Fair enough you offer your opinion and offer mine the op can decide like he had already , but as for mail order and battery's I'd think again it is not cost affective unless you want to be without a battery or have to shell out for another while yours is tested and have the added postage cost for sending and reciving a battery :)

How do you know you have to send it back?

Read thier term's and conditions as for ecu going haywire you could have the biggest battery ever made but at the point any battery decreases to that point Of course you're going to have problems.

But Datatek reccomends the Battery Megastore...! (He has no affiliation)

Bit of a moot argument this lads. I have had new batteries fail with three weeks so i personally would buy from my local supplier, who i have used for years. Easier to get an exchange. I would not buy a battery from Halfrauds simply because theirs do not have a good rep. They are also over the top price wise by some distance. Keith swears by his brand and i have no reason to disbelieve him. However the difficulty involved with a premature fail would put me off getting one at distance. Each to their own.

I don't have a lot of choice over here in fairness. Battery prices are sky high through outlets that will sell to me. Batterie-megastore.fr was 30% cheaper for a bigger battery than I could get elsewhere. So far it's been very good:)
