Ok So I'm aabout ready to whip out my dead batteries and replace them with Numax !000A CCA jobbies. I want to rip out my twin battery mount throw it in the skip.
Firstly I want to wash out and clean the battey box in the 90. Probably cover the whole inside with stone chip bolt the batteries in with a home made twin clamp. Line the inside of the battery box with closed cell foam and block all the holes except 2 in the bottom to let the water out.
Closed cell foam jacket to go around the batteries covered in a water tight fabric. I really want to stop the cold getting to these batteries.
Will re wire the starter with an engine cut out and the aux batt with a 250A @24V marine cutout.
So my question is: has anyone ever made any battery blankets or whatever I remember BoB saying he made somthing not so long ago?
