Out today laning with mud-warriors up in the peaks, and half way round my battery dies! Just got home, but eventually it wouldnt even run with the existing battery. anyhow, i need a new one.

I was planning to do a dual battery install anyhow, and the only thing im not sure of what ppl are using for battery trays in dual numax installs?

* The battery is the Numax 1000CCA battery everyone goes on about. Ill be buying 2 hopefully.
* The vehicle is a 90 200tdi and has a YRM battery box (I think is nonstandard dimensions, but ill measure up). Given my battery box is replaced, i currently dont have a battery tray at all.

Ive seen trays from devon 4x4 and flatdog but they are for optima type batteries which im pretty sure are smaller than the numax one.

So if you have dual numax 1000CCA batteries what tray are you using?

If you do buy 2 where are you going to put the second one
As you won't get two in the batt box I know as I have one in mine

news to me. i thought some of the posts ive read mentioned running two of these. ill be measuring up tommorow.

There are two 1000 cc bats I did not want you to get the wrong ones like I did I got the big ones the ones you would like are the ones I put the link to

This link is for the Neumann you want

I'm running two of those in my standard battery box in my 300tdi. I have no specific battery tray and the batteries are slightly tilted due to the funny shape of the bottom of the box. Id say there's no chance you'd get any higher batteries in there than that, mine is right up to the top of the space, such that the batteries are clamped down and the terminals have insulated covers on so there's no chance of shorting on the lid. Any higer a battery and youd only get one in there, sitting transverse in the deepest part of the box.

The batteries are a good size in other dimensions though. I had no trouble fitting in the split charge relay and a quite large (250 amp) isolator switch under the passengers legs for a winch.

you could cut the bottom of the battery box out and drop it down a few more inches? I did this on my series so it could take a bigger batery

purchased 2 of them. measured up and its going to be tight!

I have 2 of these in my 90 they are sat in a t shape. Make them fit nit, I ge chance to cut and alter the box, I used som m10 rod some massive washers and some wing nuts and some flat bar to hold it all in
