Hello to all,

im new to this forum but have been a member of subaru-impreza.org for years until i sold it and got me a range. I bought a 2000 vogue 4.6. It has been a dream car for 4-5 months since i have had it but ive just got my first problem.

The battery went flat after i had not driven it for a few days. Tried to get a jump start from a friends van but the electrics came on but it would not fire. A message did briefly come on about key code ???.

This morning went to halfords and bought a new battery, replaced with new one. Now i have reset all the windows not set messages but it wont start, it turns over but wont fire. No error messages at all. tried reconnecting again and still same problem, it turns over but will not fire.

Please can someone help me, as need to use car tomorrow and im now stuck....

Regards, Lee

Does the check engine light show (orange light that looks like an engine on the right hand side of the instrument cluster) when you turn the ignition to the second stage??

Just had someone round to have a look, there is no fuel getting to the engine, he said it is either a faulty fuel pump or somehow the imobiliser has made it stop sending fuel, but there is no error messages on the display.
The lights all go off as usual, no faults reported.
I dont think its a faulty fuel pump i think the imbilser is not sending fuel to the engine somehow, any ideas.
God knows how im going to get to work tomorrow

So I take it from that post that the engine light shows when you turn the key in the ignition??
