classic man

I’ve just changed my battery and alternator on my 95 classic. The battery light does not come on now when you turn the ignition to position II . I’ve done all the checks in the ETS manual and that suggest that the alternator is at fault.
The suppler has replaced it, but I still have the same fault. There is power coming down the wire to the phase tap resistor which appears to be coming from the Air suspension ECU. Is this normal? ETS manual is blank on this.
Any ideas.

i may be totally stupid and way off the mark here but could the bulb in the instrument pack of failed??

dont have a classic so im just totally guessing...

Thanks for the reply. I had hoped that it was only the bulb! But it does work if you remove the tacho lead from the phase tap resistor.
