There is a blue and green wire to the positive on a battery, there is a fuse in the blue one but not in the green, should there be one in both? Its landrover discovery 300tdi

All wiring leaving the batteries pos terminal should have a local suitably rated fuse, but as you have non-standard wiring ie. your disco didn't leave the factory like that who knows what size fuse u should have.

Do you know where i can find out this information? I have a haynes manual but it doesnt tell me in there

It won't as i said non-standard just remove one wire at a time and see what doesn't work

As 'Cool says,see wont DOESNT work ! Without knowing what extra are fitted to your vehicle its impossible to even guess.....but some speculation is possible,,,,replacement power for radio or other fitted item, for added items like spotlights or 12v power point, or for after market tow electrics. Many towbar fitters run new lines to the battery as they are unaware/untrusting of the inbuilt ones,especially when fitting a new euro multi-socket.
