battery change

hello all, just bought my first disco. its a 96 (P) 2.5tdi. the battery is a bit tired on it and its struggling in the cold, i have a new battery to change but is there anything i have to do with regards to the alarm or will it just reset when the new battery is on?

i am also looking for some info into clubs around manchester or newmills hayfield etc where i could go along and get some tips for off road/ greenlaning

:welcome2: Single button fob NO but if you have a two button then there is a procedure to stop the alarm sounder which has it's own power supply going off and you will/may have to re-sync the fob with the alarm. You will also need to re-ented the radio code if your radio has that security facility.

its a two button fob and it has a reset procedure in the book, radio is non original so i should be ok by the sound of it.

you could clip a 12v jump pack on the terminals while you swap the battery if you are worried!
