Hi guys, got my seat box in pieces at the moment as it needs a bit of a rebuild. i was just wondering though, the battery box has quite a few pre cut holes in it. Obviously if im wading water is just going to be flooding in through these, is there a reason they are there or will it be alright to seal them up. Obviously there are 2 for the battery cables but other than that are the others needed?

The other holes are for the rain water that comes in at the top of the door and rolls down the seat into the seat box to escape:D

Nothing stopping you sealing the battery-box and fitting a vent-pipe but remember that if water ever does get in there it won't be able to drain away so you will have to keep a check on it.
If you believe that you will be wading so deep that this could be a real problem then relocate the battery and mount it on the NS wheel arch just behind the centre bulkhead (in a suitable box of course). The cable run is only a little longer but there will be no risk of water reaching it. You will then be free to do what you like with the old battery box (seal it up and use a locker?).

Personally I have never had a problem with water reaching the top of the battery and I have done some decent depths over the years.
