Hi,

What is the best type of security for irritating and hopefully, deterring a potential thief?

The areas I park in are relatively secure, but there may be occasions where I need to park it in less desirable locations.

The machine is mostly going to be used for wading and general offroad use, so I am thinking more towards mechanical aids to stop it being nicked, unless the water conks it out!

So I was thinking

- Cheapish alarm (not immobiliser) unit (self fit) mounted as high as possible in the vehicle - if it does from getting wet then no huge loss

- Steering lock - Still looking at options, can anyone reccommend

- Something a friend recommended called a clutch claw - are these any good?

- Wheel clamp for when parked at home for more than a couple of days in a rpw.

Any suggestions / comments on the above?

Cheers!

Got a disklok for mine. They still make 'em.
Had to get Halfords to order it in from the HQ in Chorley. You need the large size and it'll cost you about £100 or so for one.

The only way a thief will get it off is to use a petrol driven angle grinder and risk
smashing the glass etc. These are noisy as hell and will make such a racket he'll risk a beating or worse from people nearby.
to hear it.
