okay I'm not sure if changing fix from 30s to 2 when gps setting not similar caused it to still respond, but not automatically send to gps-trace so

reset123456 (unless password is different)

I have spare if faulty, but want to see if config error caused issues

Bought mine pre Christmas but only got to install it today.

Have only used the power feeds and 2 aerials rather than the various other functions it can control, but easy to set up and appears well made (metal case)

Have installed where neither unit, phone signal aerial or GPS aerial are visible - just took a little creativity.

So far impressed. Worked first time with the only factory settings needing altering being the password and time zone.

Manual whilst as expected a chinese translation is better than many.

Just using the move/nomove functionality which sends a text to saved mobile phone numbers (I've preset 2, it can handle up to 5) if the Landy moves more than 200 metres.

Set and tested and it did just that, with location co-ordinates keyed into google maps within 20 feet of where the Landy actually was.

Whilst only installed for a day, thus far and at the price point would not hesitate to recommend.

Off to play with web tracking functionality now!

How do you text it to find out its location? I haven't fitted mine yet but will be next week, but the instructions I got with mine are terrible and they say to ring it to get location!
If anyone is kind enough to right a list of the commands I would be much appreciative,
Cheers Dan

You ring it it hangs up and txt you the location

Not being silly but......

Did you not get instructions?

If not printed they are on the disk.

Set unit to monitor mode: monitor+password then phone it; it will connect to microphone! 😊

Oh rite thanks and ye the instructions I got were poor with no mention of the mic and I've not actually set it up yet so not had the disc out, just assumed the printed set were the only set.
Thanks for clearing it up though
Cheers
Dan

Reading back through the threads I think different instructions may be in circulation!

The ones I had were really clear, no "chinglish", sadly though I binned 'em!

If the ones on the disc are no better pm me your email and I'll send the pdf! 😊

These sound very interesting! How are they getting on has anyone had a play with them to test them?

i've had a bit of a play, seems quite useful - especially tied up the orange.gpstrace.com

Unfortunately I was using ovivo, which decided to stop trading last wednesday, so currently simless. Going for a giffgaff one i think, but waiting until paypal return my ovivo money....

See Post 43!

Still very pleased

Only using mine in 'move alert' mode and to check operational status.

Each time I've moved the Landy it's triggered an alert, and once I left it active and it accurately sent texts every 6 mins or so with an updated position and speed.

Had one 'false' alarm text which showed the Landy having moved to the other side of one of our fields - think must have been satellite drift possibly due to weather? As a result have widenened move alert radius from 200 metres to 300 metres - my nerves don't need false alerts!

Started to play with online tracking, but not wanting the cost of enabling GPRS to test so haven't progressed further.

Not using any of the other features, and doubt I will - just wanted a basic 'tell me if it moves' system'.

Running mine on an Orange PAYG sim which allows me to contact it free from my own Orange phone and is cheap for the unit to text me back

I use a 4w solar charger in my Landy anyway, so not experienced any battery drain issues (yet) from having the Tracker live

Would I still recommend - yep.
