Those HD flanges can be very tight to remove once they have been on a fewmonths.
cheers
Yep Ceratec Ceramic grease works a treat, its because they are really badly coated by BearPANTS and AlFULLmakes and all the other happy shopper brands

Not so much the flange itself, more of the screw on cover, I nipped mine up and then needed to get the big bar on them to crack them off.

Cheers

the rubber washer is total pants, put your own one on. The castings are very good, i think they are zinc electroplated? so best just remove all traces and paint, when i did myne I etched first etc the paint fell off with a minor brush with a socket. Gve up and bought new ones and shot blasted, polished the painted them with high build primer first

Cheers. Ill had some copper slip to them as well.
avoid copper slip like the plague! its abrasive and drys out, has no place in my garage (used it for years lol)
Ceramic / anti fret grease Ceratec is like a yellow vaseline, ceramic grease i have is white and stinks like babies ****y nappys!

Also just be aware using anything on a thread will change its torque value when tightening, (google / you tube it) ceramic grease is good or you can get a powder. good video of someone greasing wheel nuts, lab test and watch em fall off under wobble machine!

Best to dry (brake clean) threads and anti fret after tightening etc. funny old engineer told me that years ago, i thought he was mad.....

Fabricated the new 3" downpipe for the "project"

Came out really well, except i forgot to weld in the bloody flexi :rolleyes:

Heat wrapped but didnt buy enough :p

Also bought a D2 Cruis Control switch which will be fitted soon + some calibration from Empire so it works with my big tyres and 1.3 box.

Should be able to share what weve been working on soon but not yet! :D

Big turbo time
as for the flexi you just need to remove the small section before the top bend. ;)
Quick Q.. why do these have flexi ? Do they shake that much & break the pipes or is to do with the manifolds? Thanks
