I am indeed!! Really enjoying it, even just little bits. Much better this time round as I know considerably more than when I started 5 years back on the 90. Still a fair way to go and I'm working on some interesting bits too like electronically adjustable remote res dampers

working in a clean environment helps I find, looking forward to seeing the finished article,

Yeah much easier! Most the work on the 90 was done on a gravel drive way!

Now its in my garage, which i sweep constantly and tidy once a week lol still messy tho...

Itll be a while before its done!

also noted is the hormann garage door ( I think ) helps keep yo u warm - plus I have a similar picture of my defender nearly hitting the track ! lol

its not like that now!!! cleaned the full chassis off and undersealed - went through the cardboard and stained the tiles! gutted lol

Parking sensors fitted! And working well

Switch on thr dash too very happy

The outside corner sensors are in. Cut the hole with a stepped drill bit (excellent bit of kit!) but only went to 20mm not 21mm so had to file the rest out and flatten the raised chequer plate bits with a dremel. Looks alright, can't really notice them from behind without a good look.


Dash switch to turn them off, easily done buy cutting the earth, less wiring...



Cheap Safari style head, not a fan of the Mushrooms they just fall off and get lost.

So do those..................except I saw mine go flying off when a tree branch got stuck under it.

Parking sensors..............Parking sensors.............that is what the tow bar and footsteps are for...........'Onest the Yoofs of today with all their gadgets....

All I can say is I've lost 3 mushrooms and never lost one of those! Plus it looks slightly better, I'd prefer a slimmed down one but they are £70!

Tow bar n the spare are fine for walls but not other folks cars!

Or the concrete bollard I demolished, the small tree I uprooted (which actually fell into a pub garden ) or my mates 110 haha I swear I can park!

Noticed a clunk the other day found my trailing arm bushes had failed!!




Proper fooked! Replaced with OEM ones and new bolts for cheaps

I noticed my steering was making a horrible noise and I started to worry! Then I realised it was the steering UJ rubbing on the 3" intake pipe I fitted! So made this lil thing out of Kydex (robust thermoplastic) no more noise!

Mud Monsters was decent. Though not sure I'll go back, a little too aggressive for my liking. Good site but it is damaging, got a few bad scratches and the vast majority is very tight!

I did however notice the 110 was smoking like a a cargo ship when going flat out off road!

I believe ive got "boost creep" where I hit max boost (18psi) but when at full throttle the boost 'creeps' up higher and higher. It never reached a dangerous level (always below 25psi) however a tad concerning.

Current plan is to refit the Forge actuator along with a Forge boost controller and reset the boost to 24psi. Should solve the boost creep and the black smoke. Reason for this is Forge dont do other springs for the actuator so its just 18psi spring fitted.

Should this work I should be able to get the MAF plugged back in without issues at the top end.

However TD5inside are currently looking over my map to double check everything is in order and adjust accordingly if required.

LRO Peterbrough coming up though

Boost controller fitted! Boost is much better now, flyes up to 24psi and no more "creep" slightly less smokey but not much so I think the map still needs adjustment.


Also found the source of my braking issue. The pass sidr caliper is shagged, one piston is seized and one is missing the seal so i expect water is coming in and or air.

Going to call Paddocks tomorrow see if they can get some Genuine ones delivered asap. Would rather get it done before LRO Show while ive got some time off.

Not sure ill risk non genuine/AP/Lockheed ones...

New AP Calipers fitted today. Pretty painless bar the copper "S" pipe sheered so had to make up a new one. Other than that all good!




Powerbled via Nanocom. New pins and springa too, same Blueprint pads though.

Braking is improved, wheels lock up and it does stop better than before, pedal feel is also improved.

Will probably rebuild the old calipers when I have some time, keep as spares or sell on.

Well made it too and from the LRO show with no problems (not that I was expecting any!) Didn't really have anything on offer I wanted but the brakes are SO much better now. I'm very happy.

I did however get to speak to Safety Devices about their cages, basically said they really are not that hard to install yourself providing you have the right tools. So going to go down that route. Shame I didn't have the cash for one at the show as the had the exact cage I wanted + the official SD roof rack for £1800 pretty good deal! Maybe Kelmarsh next year....

Got a few jobs to do. A lot of the Raptor has started to peel off the boot lid, well its although the primer didnt adhere in some places to the ali but the Raptor is bonded well to the primer . So I've got to respray that while it's on the car! So I need a lot of masking tape and paper! I can only assume I didnt prep those bits well enough

Managed to crack the passenger side wind deflector think I'll buy Climair ones this time in spite of their high price.

Also starting to get tired of locking/unlocking the boot lid as the key is a right pita to get in! So got an idea to fit a couple door lock actuators either side that will slide a still rod into the tub side. Means It should lock off the central locking and have the big T-lock for extra security.

Parking sensors have been very helpful though!

Service coming up soon! Going to change all oils for the extra piece of mind as I'm not 100% sure when the GB/TX oils where changed!

Just ordered one of these 30w LED spot light for £7.77 in a small package, could be a good light to fit inside the Equipe 4x4 bumper (their own ones are £65 a pair). It will probably be **** but for £7.77 it's worth a punt!

Also pulled out the EGR solenoids and blanked off the brake vac line, anyone know if I can get a solid line to replace that with?

The DGS wind deflector came out of its fitting, then snapped on refitting Very reluctant to pay £100+ for the set of 4 Climair ones! I found ones by Heko, quality is good as is the tint, however while internal fit, they do fit into the actual window channel which may cause issues for some. I did have to add some extra double sided tape as well.



They look good and £30!

Got some fun bits done the weekend with deep thanks to a mate of mine for doing the wiring!

Raptor Dash fitted with Double Din Head Unit

Taking chunks out of the original so the Raptor will fit properly, keyed up, degreased and x3 coats of Buzzweld PIO (excellent paint!)


Raptor Dash on! Got some A2 stainless dome socket heads en route to replace the black screws.


About half way fitted!


Annnnd in!

Few bits left to do, though.
- Can't for the life of me work out how to make the red "ON" slits light up
-The 12v socket (bottom left, non illuminated) has already come loose
- DAB aerial needs fitting
- The reverse signal from the reverse light needs fitting so the headunit automatically switches to reverse cam.
- Got to move the reverse cam as its too one sided and not overly useful.
- Fit the Air Cast device to the HDMI so I have screen mirroring from my phone on the dash
- Move the wiring in the back as the headunit is sitting proud by about 5mm tad annoying but not the worst

Also got my doors booked in to be repaired as well -


Ordered some LizardSkin Sound Control from Buzzweld, 3mm & 6mm closed cell foam and a small amount FatMat to fully soundproof the doors too. All being done next month.


As for the £7.77 lights. Hit & miss really! They are pretty bright, suitable as a small aux light if fitted in pairs, however one issue is they have High, Low, STROBE so on/off 3 times and they stobe. Not ideal....

After 4 days work the centre console is 99% finished it was exhausting! Everything works bar the 12v socket as the earth has come off. Swaped to stainless dome head screws, bit nicer!



I did have to buy a new reverse camera as the old one was poorly positioned due to the large spare, fell to bits when I tried to move it, new one sits where the trailer socket would go.


Cut an inspection hatch in the MUD locker and fitted rivnuts to it, makes it much easier to remove the cubby box and adjust wiring now.


Did some off roading yesterday at Elham, was there for minutes before this happened -


Went up one steep rutted hill and tore the bushes to bits! Luckily a mate brought some to me, changed then and there. Looks like I may need cranked trailing arms! Utterly ruined, only been on 6 weeks!


New FM Aerial as I the DAB will not bloody work for some reason!

Gywn Lewis HD cranked trailing arms en route, went for the cheaper unpainted ones as I didn't fancy the bright blue... Shall be painted with Buzzwelds CIO which is damn tough.

Also got some Flo-Flex chassis end bushes to go with it, should avoid any future failures.
