I have a steering wheel ball fitted to my four spoke small steering wheel. I prefer to use that when offroading.
I know its not everyones cup of tea, but to those of you who do use them, what are the best makes/types?
The one I use constantly chews into the padding of my steering wheel
and is forever needing re taping. It, obviously, also loosens at the same time.
Would like to change it for a `pro` one if such a thing exists. Any ideas anyone? :)

Would help if you stick a piccy up. I've got one on my truck. I also had it on my previous one. I haven't demolished either of the steering wheels and it's covered more than 1,200,000 km.

You do know that they are known as dead mans handle's don't ya?

I`d love to post pictures, but I just dont know how to. Always had this prob on bike + car forums too.
You do know its a Def 90 I got, not a train dontcha Ratty. :p

Lol mt dads work place they were told to remove their Knobs from all the volvos. A note was send around saying that the boss was not aware of anyone requiring driving aids and asked for anybody that required driving aids to show a medical note otherwise remove them lol kinda funny

They had a big issue with drivers fitting lights into the back of cigarette lighters, CBs into any old fuse in the dashboard and about 5 scrap steering wheels. Some of the drivers just wired up their new toys while in a layby in italy on their break. Lots of other electrical probs kettels causing issues with melted cigarette lighter wires and stuff.

Most of the drivers are good its just a few. The steering wheels werent cheap and the boss wasn't happy forking out for new ones
